USANA Featured in African American Sports Magazine

When I visited the plant in Utah this summer as a member of its Sports Advisory Board, I found it to be one of the most modern and well-run companies in the world. They lead the industry in product testing.

"Poor manufacturing can destroy great science," says Mark Wilson, Vice President of Customer Relations. "For that reason, USANA Health Sciences is one of the few companies in its industry to manufacture its own products," Wilson said.

While touring the facility, AAESHOF was assured that the formulas developed in its laboratories are produced consistently for the customer. USANA voluntarily meets Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for pharmaceutical-grade products. These standards are much higher than required by law and eclipse those followed by most nutritional product manufacturers.

To adhere to these exacting standards, USANA tests the raw ingredients, tests the product during manufacturing, and tests every product again before it is shipped. USANA's quality assurance team keeps track of every excruciating detail, (I know, because I had to submit to a rigid health code before entering the plant) from the elaborate testing and evaluations of raw materials to the storage and shipping of finished products.
